Commentary on Jeremiah 1:3

Theological / Devotional

Eleventh year. That is, 586 B.C. (see Vol. II, pp. 97, 98). The final captivity began in the fifth Jewish month of that year. Since the prophetic ministry of Jeremiah continued beyond this point (see p. 19), it lasted more than 40 years.
