Commentary on Jeremiah 10:14

Theological / Devotional

Brutish. Or, “stupid,” “dullhearted” (see on v. 8).

Every founder. That is, “every refiner,” or “goldsmith” (see on v. 9).

Confounded. Better, “ashamed.” The idol upon which the artisan has exhausted his skill remains a lifeless object.
