Theological / Devotional

Drink ye, and be drunken. Jeremiah seems to revert to vs. 15, 16 (see comments there), depicting the dread and despair to come upon men through the sorrows of international strife.

Spue. A striking representation of the giving up, or disgorging, of spoils that had been taken in war.
