Theological / Devotional

To remove you. Through divine inspiration Jeremiah knew what the result would be if the kings followed the false counsel of the heathen oracles. The kings and their armies would go forth to battle and perish, as did Ahab when he hearkened to the “lying spirit in the mouth” of false prophets (1 Kings 22:15-37).
