Commentary on Jeremiah 30:5

Theological / Devotional

A voice of trembling. The LXX reads “a sound of fear.” God pictures to the prophet the Israelites in a most distressful condition (see Lam. 2:18-22). The words will have yet another fulfillment in the time of distress “through which the people of God must pass just before Christ’s second coming” (PP 201).
