Theological / Devotional

Where are now your prophets? These impostors had grossly deceived the king. Instead of Jerusalem being delivered as they claimed (see ch. 28:1-4), the city was besieged; and the temporary withdrawal of the Chaldeans, which seemed to justify their hopes, only emphasized the deceptiveness of these men.
