Commentary on Jeremiah 39:2

Theological / Devotional

The city was broken up. After besieging Jerusalem for 30 months, the Babylonians broke through its defenses on “the ninth day” of “the fourth month.” This date can be approximated on the same basis as that in v. 1, as July 18, 586 B.C.
