Theological / Devotional

The prophets. This verse is a continuation of the speech of the unbelieving Jews. The prophetic warnings, they asserted, would come to nothing and the prophets would prove to be mere wind.

Thus shall it be done. These unbelievers are evidently expressing the wish that the predicted sword and famine might fall upon the heads of the prophets.
