Theological / DevotionalThe great voice. Possibly a reference to the din of Babylon’s great population, or to the voice of authority with which Babylon spoke in her glory.
Her waves. Heb. gallehem, “their waves.” This is probably not to be understood of the Babylonians, but of the attacking armies.
