Commentary on Jeremiah 51:60

Theological / Devotional

In a book. Literally, “in one book.” That this was not the only copy of the message against Babylon is plain from the fact that the record was not lost when the book was thrown into the Euphrates (v. 63). The prophet, or his secretary Baruch, probably made a copy on a separate scroll of the part of the prophecies pertaining to Babylon, and gave this to Seraiah when the opportunity of sending it to Babylon presented itself.
