The house. Job’s friends had maintained that the house of the wicked would be destroyed (chs. 8:15, 22; 15:34; 18:15,21). They were persistent in their theory. Their conclusions were made unreliable by their viewpoint, because they judged that everyone who met misfortune must be wicked.
