Hast thou marked the old way? Literally, “Wilt thou keep the old way?” Eliphaz assumes that it is Job’s intention to cast his lot with those persons whose prosperous wickedness he has described in the previous chapter (vs. 7-15). Some believe there is a reference to the antediluvians (see ch. 22:16).
