Theological / Devotional

Built up. This seems to be a promise of rebuilding and restoration, contingent upon return to God. Some adopt the reading of the LXX and translate the first part of the sentence, “If thou shalt turn and humble thyself before the Lord.”

Thy tabernacles. Or, “thy tents.” Compare ch. 11:14, where Zophar implied the existence of ill-gotten gains in Job’s tents.
