Let my wife grind. The condition of a female slave who ground the corn was regarded as the lowest point in domestic slavery (see Ex. 11:5; Judges 16:21; Isa. 47:2).

Bow down. This is thought by some to refer to the treatment of female slaves, making concubines of them.
