Theological / Devotional

Swift ships. Or, “ships of reed.” Ships constructed for lightness and speed, but not substantial. The eagle. Job had pointed to that which was swiftest on land, that which was swiftest in the water, and now he points to that which was swiftest in the air. He compares these things to the speed with which his life is approaching its destination.
