That hath a devil. This group reasoned that the speech and actions of Jesus were very different from those of one demon possessed. When a demon takes control it usually disorders the mind, confuses and beclouds the thinking, and produces incoherent speech and reasoning. Under no circumstances could one possessed by an evil spirit perform a miracle so outstanding as the opening of the eyes of a man born blind. There is evidence in this verse of the presence of a better group among the Sanhedrin.
