Theological / Devotional

If thou hadst. The same words were spoken by Mary when she first met Jesus (v. 32). Doubtless this sentiment had been oft upon the lips and hearts of the sisters since the death of their brother. The sisters were correct in their observation (see on v. 15; see DA 528).
