Theological / Devotional

At the last day. Martha’s confidence in the future resurrection was strong and helped to mitigate her sorrow (cf. 1 Thess. 4:13-18). But that day seemed far distant; she was looking for something more immediate to assuage her grief (see on John 11:22).
