To the Pharisees. [Withdrawal to Ephraim, John 11:46-57. See Closing Peraean Ministry.] See p. 51. Among the informers were doubtless some of the spies who constantly dogged the footsteps of Jesus. Others may simply have felt that so notable an event should come to the attention of the religious leaders. They may have desired counsel as to how they should relate themselves to it.
