Theological / Devotional

Sop. Gr. psomion, “a bit,” “a morsel,” perhaps of bread, though some suggest that here it may refer to bitter herbs, a portion of which, according to the Passover ritual, was to be dipped into the relish sauce, or charoseth (see on Matt. 26:21, 23).
