Theological / DevotionalWhat I do. The emphasis in the Greek is upon the pronouns “I” and “thou”: “What I do thou knowest not now.” The full significance of Jesus’ act would not be understood until later. In the meantime Peter was asked to exercise faith and humbly submit to the Master’s will.
