Theological / Devotional

Sanctify myself. Here the meaning “consecrate myself,” or, “dedicate myself,” seems to be the more appropriate definition (see on v. 17). Jesus dedicated Himself to the completion of the task He had come into the world to accomplish. Before Him lay the cross, and in the act of offering Himself He made possible the sanctification of all believers (see Heb. 10:10).
