Theological / Devotional

Reach hither thy finger. The Lord knew what was in the heart of Thomas, and upon arrival directed His attention immediately to the doubting disciple. He offered him the exact proof he demanded, unreasonable though his demand was (see v. 25). There is no evidence that Thomas took advantage of the offer. The fact that the Lord read the doubts of his heart so accurately was to him convincing evidence of the resurrection.
