Theological / Devotional

After these things. [Appearance by the Lake of Galilee, John 21:1-23.] That is, between the second appearance in the upper room (John 20:26-29) and the appearance on a mountain in Galilee (Matt. 28:16-20). This is evident from the fact that the incident is described as “the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples” (John 21:14). See Additional Note on Matt. 28.
