Commentary on John 21:6

Theological / Devotional

Right side. This was the side on which Jesus stood on the shore, and by asking them to cast the net on this side He designed to teach the lesson of faith and cooperation with divine power (see DA 811).

Multitude of fishes. This miracle would remind the disciples of the earlier miracle at which time they forsook all to follow the Master (see on Luke 5:11).
