Theological / Devotional

I sent you to reap. Jesus apparently refers to the Judean ministry mentioned briefly in ch. 3:22. In a sense Jesus and His disciples were now reaping the harvest of seed sown by John the Baptist. After the resurrection the disciples would reap a bountiful harvest from seed sown during the time of Jesus’ ministry (see Acts 2:41, 47 ; 5:14).
