Honour from men. The ultimate success of Jesus’ work did not depend upon whether the Jewish leaders of His day recognized Him as the Messiah. The purposes of His message and His ministry transcended any approbation that human beings could give. His ultimate aim was the conquest of the kingdom of evil for the glory of God.
