Theological / Devotional

Are ye also deceived? In the Greek the emphasis is on the “ye.” The “ye” are in addition to the multitude (vs. 40,41). According to the narrative the Pharisees make no inquiry as to what has been said. Their minds are already made up. As far as they are concerned Jesus is a deceiver of the people (see Matt. 27 :63; cf. John 7:12).
