Theological / Devotional

I have many things. The first part of this verse may be translated, “I could say many things concerning you and judge, but,” etc. Such a rendering provides a better explanation for the adversative “but” than the common translation.

Of you. Literally, “concerning you.”

He that sent me. Compare v. 16; cf. eh. 12:49; see on eh. 3:17.
