Theological / DevotionalBecause ye cannot hear. Perhaps meaning, “because you cannot bear to hear” (RSV), or “because ye will not listen” (Robertson). The result was misunderstanding and misconstruction of the speech of Jesus. If they were the true children of the heavenly Father, they would understand the language of home.
