Theological / DevotionalIf ye were blind. That is, if there had been no opportunity to receive enlightenment. God judges men on the basis of the light they have received or might have received had they put forth the effort. See on ch. 15:22.
We see. There was a self-satisfaction with present knowledge that made it impossible for God to impart further knowledge. In rejecting Jesus the Jews rejected the channel through which Heaven was seeking to impart light.
