Theological / Devotional

Hanged. The Hebrew people did not hang men alive on Old Testament times. The victim was first killed and then hanged by way of example, to deter others from similar crimes. But according to the law of Deuteronomy 21:23, the body must not hang overnight lest the land be defiled.
