Theological / Devotional

En-gannim. Literally, “fountain of gardens.” Probably the “garden house” to which Jehu pursued the fleeing Ahaziah (2 Kings 9:27). It is possibly the modern Jenin, which stands at the lower end of the plain, about 6 mi. (9.6 km.) from the slopes of Mt. Gilboa, on the main road from Megiddo through Samaria to Jerusalem.
