Theological / Devotional

Divide the spoil. These who had stayed in eastern Palestine to guard the stuff and rebuild the cities and care for the flocks and families were to share in the spoil taken. This was as God had earlier ordained (Num. 31:27), and as David later instructed the people (1 Sam. 30:24).
