Theological / Devotional

Came to Kadesh. It was in this area that the Israelites settled during the 40-year wilderness sojourn (see Num. 20:1; cf. Num. 33:37, 38; Deut. 1:46 ; 2:14). This place, sometimes called Kadesh-bamea, has not yet been definitely identified, but seems to have been somewhere near ‘Ain Qedeis, in the Negeb about 50 mi. south of Beersheba.
