Pleased to kill us. Her reasoning was logical. Manoah was so filled with dread that he thought death would be their lot for having looked on the Angel. His wife, with quicker, keener insight, quickly realized that the Lord would not make them the promise of a child to deliver Israel, and then destroy them for having looked upon the Messenger through whom He had sent the message. Her deduction was correct. God does not act in a capricious way with His people. The thoughts He thinks toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil (Jer. 29:11).
