Theological / Devotional

Knew the voice. This may mean either that they had been acquainted with the Levite before he came to Micah and recognized his voice, or that they recognized he was a Levite by the way he spoke as he conducted a service in the private chapel. If he was the grandson of Moses (see on v. 30), the Levite may have been well known.
