Theological / Devotional

Hand of a woman. Deborah consented to go along on the military expedition, but before leaving her home in Mt. Ephraim to accompany Barak into northern Palestine, she prophesied that the victory that would ensue would not redound to Barak’s glory but to that of a woman. She was not referring to herself, but to Jael (vs. 18-21), who was to slay Sisera.
