Theological / Devotional

Made me drunken. Literally, “satiated me.” The thought is not so much that of drunkenness or loss of sobriety, but of being filled to excess.

Wormwood. A very bitter herb, symbolic of the heartbreaking experiences of the Jews (see on Prov. 5:4).
