Theological / DevotionalBuilded against me. The thought is either that God has confined His people within walls, or that He has built siege machinery against them — even as Nebuchadnezzar did when he laid siege to Jerusalem.
Gall. Heb. ro’sh, “a bitter and poisonous herb” (see on Ps. 69:21). The word is also used for the poison of serpents (Deut. 32:33; Job 20:16).
