Theological / Devotional

Stayed. The exact meaning of the Hebrew word thus translated is not certain. The sense, however, seems to be that no human hands were laid on Sodom; her destruction was entirely from above. Since the sin of Jerusalem is greater than that of Sodom, how awful her punishment must be!
