Theological / Devotional

The bullock. The law required that the bodies of those beasts whose blood was brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin be burned without the camp. Paul sees in this a type of Christ, who “suffered without the gate,” and admonishes us to follow “him without the camp, bearing his reproach” (Heb. 13:11-13).
