Theological / Devotional

Suddenly, the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. This striking demonstration testified to God’s approval of the sanctuary and His servants Moses and Aaron.

A fire from the Lord consumed the offerings on the altar, not the people (Leviticus 10:1-2). According to tradition, this sacred fire was preserved until Solomon’s Temple’s destruction.

God accepted man’s work; the sanctuary and priests were dedicated, preparing for a service continuing over 1,400 years and then transferred to the heavenly sanctuary.
