My Lord. In the heart of Elisabeth there was no envy of Mary, but only humility and joy. A similar confession of faith was later made by Peter (Matt. 16:16), a confession that came to him as a revelation. Paul declared that only “by the Holy Ghost” can any man “say that Jesus is the Lord” (1 Cor. 12:3).
