Theological / DevotionalGoodman of the house. Greek oikodespotes, “master of the house” (see on chapter 2:29). See on Proverbs 7:19.
Broken through. Many Oriental houses were made of mud walls, and the easiest way for a thief to get into them was by digging a hole through the walls (cf. Ezekiel 12:5, 12).
