Theological / Devotional

Days were accomplished. That is, according to the promise of the angel to Mary (ch. 1:31). This was about six months after the birth of John the Baptist (ch. 1:36, 39, 56, 57; see on ch. 1:39). The exact year and season of Christ’s birth are not known. Concerning the year see pp. 240-242, and for the time of year see on chs. 1:57; 2:8.
