Theological / Devotional

Full of the Holy Ghost. [The Temptation, Luke 4:1-13 = Matt. 4:1–11 = Mark 1:12, 13. Major comment: Matthew.] A reference to the reception of the Holy Spirit at the time of the baptism (see ch. 3:21, 22).

Led. The tense of the Greek verb implies that the leading of the Holy Spirit here referred to was not limited to the journey into the wilderness, but continued during His sojourn there.
