Theological / Devotional

Many lepers. Jesus provides a further illumination of the proverb quoted in v. 23. For the narrative of the healing of Naaman see 2 Kings 5:1-19. Some of the “many lepers ... in Israel” to whom Jesus referred are mentioned in 2 Kings 7:3.

Eliseus. That is, Elisha.
