Theological / Devotional

Hired servants. Zebedee was not left to work alone. Accepting the call to become one of Jesus’ disciples did not mean that the four men thereby neglected their filial obligations. The presence of “hired servants” implies a rather extensive and successful business. Mark alone records this interesting detail of the narrative.
