Theological / Devotional

Laughed ... to scorn. Gr. katagelad, “to deride.” It was more than simple laughter. It is little wonder that Jesus drove them from the room before awakening the little girl from the sleep of death.

Them that were with him. That is, Peter, James, and John (see on v. 37).
